Dear HCGOP Delegates and Alternates:

On behalf of the Horry County Republican Party, thank you all for participating in the 2023 Horry County Republican Party Convention!  Our convention was a great success for your help and participation!

Among other things, at the Convention we elected 61 Delegates and 61 Alternate Delegates to attend the upcoming State GOP convention in Lexington, SC on May 20, 2023.

This is an exciting time, and a critical time in our country’s history.  Now, more than ever, Republicans must find ways to work together, and to bring more people to the fight for a limited government that will respect and protect our constitutional liberty and freedoms, not trample them!

If you were elected as a Delegate, we hope that you will commit to join us in Lexington for the State GOP Convention on May 20.  Due to the travel involved, we are recommending that Delegates travel to Lexington the day before.  And Delegates should be prepared for a full day of convention in Lexington.

We are still receiving some details from the State Party, and those will be passed along to you as we receive them.  The SCGOP will be sending out an email on Monday with all the details such as cost and locations. If you are an Alternate Delegate, we’ll let you know as soon as possible if a space has opened up for you.  If you are elected as a Delegate, but do not know if you can attend the State Convention on May 20, we ask you to please let us know your plans as soon as possible, so that if you are not able to attend, we can offer your delegate slot to the next-in-line Alternate Delegate.

The 2023 State Convention will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in the River Bluff High School Gymnasium, located at 320 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The Convention will gavel in at 11 AM, with credentialing beginning at 9:30 AM.
